Committee member on Tofield, Beaver County West & Ryley Christmas Hamper Program
Ryley FCSS is a committee member on the Community Christmas Hamper program and supports this important program through volunteer support. If you are in need of a Christmas Hamper this upcoming season please contact Tofield/Beaver County West FCSS by calling 780-662-7067 who manages the intake for this this initiative.

Community Volunteer Income Tax Program - Tax Season Only
Ryley FCSS is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency to deliver the Community Volunteer Income Tax program during the tax season. Through trained volunteers, we are able to support low-income individuals and families living in the Village of Ryley to file their tax returns free of charge. Eligibility requirements are as follows:
Family Size Total Family Income Family Size Total Family Income
1 person $35,000 3 people $47,500
2 people $45,000 4 people $50,000
5 people $52,500 + 5 people $52,500, plus $2,500 for each additional person
Please note, this program does not allow us to complete income taxes related to:
Self-employment income or employment expenses, business or rental income and expenses, interest income over $1,000, capital gains or losses, foreign property (T1135), bankrupt individuals in the year of bankruptcy (or the year prior, if that return has not been filed), and deceased individuals.

Family Fun Nights
​Every few months Ryley FCSS will be hosting Family Fun Nights. Our focus is to build strong, healthy family relationships through fun activities and games. This is also a great opportunity for families to connect with others in their community. Details will be advertised ahead of events, so look out for future information.

Summer Fun
​Ryley FCSS has partnered with the McPherson Library to run a summer fun program for our local children and youth that will run until the end of August. Register by calling 780-662-7067.

Forms Assistance
Adult/Family Benefits Assistance
Ryley FCSS will assist adults with form completion related to various provincial and federal benefits such as Income Support, Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped, Family Support for Children with Disabilities, Employment Insurance Benefits, etc.

Seniors Benefits Assistance
​Ryley FCSS will assist seniors with application completion for both provincial and federal seniors benefits including Seniors Financial Assistance, Special Needs Assistance, Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement. We will also assist seniors with other relevant form completion or remittance of receipts to Seniors Alberta.
Information Referral
When receiving a call or walk-in, Ryley FCSS will refer clients to internal or external services that are best-suited to the clients unique needs.
